All of our tyre repairs are covered by British standard BSAU159f:1990. This standard also defines limits to the repair location & the size and number of repairs that can be carried out.
We repair all tyres that can be done so safely.
We inspect all tyres thoroughly before any repair is carried out. The tyre can’t be repaired if any of the following are present.
- Illegal tread depth (below 1.6mm across the central 3/4 of the tread for the entire circumference)
- Tyre run flat
- Faulty previous repairs
- Exposed cords
- Bead damage
- Aging/detereroation of tyre rubber
- Secondary damage (caused by injuring object)
We will only repair tyres if we are 100% sure it is safe to do so.
