In recognition of its long-standing investment in health and safety excellence, Continental has been awarded four awards at the 2025 Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards.
The company’s Rugby-based warehouse took gold in the RoSPA Award for Health & Safety for the fourth time. Continental Group Logistics, on the other hand, took the highest honour at the first time of asking in the RoSPA Fleet Safety Award.
Continental-owned tyre service and maintenance provider, R&J Strang, claimed two separate awards: gold in the RoSPA Fleet Safety Award, and Silver in the RoSPA Award for Health & Safety – both first-time submissions.
Now in its 69th year and sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the annual RoSPA Awards are the world’s largest and most prestigious health and safety awards programme. With almost 2,000 entries submitted annually from more than 50 countries – representing in excess of seven million employees – the awards celebrate organisations and individuals that set the very highest standards in accident prevention.
Reflecting on the achievement, Stewart Jackson, Supply Chain Director for Continental Tyre Group, said: “For Continental to come away with one award would be a major achievement. However, with four awards to our name, there’s no doubting that we have a deep-set culture of safety spanning the entire business. These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication that our staff invest into implementing and complying with the highest workplace safety standards.”
Dee Arp, NEBOSH Chief Quality Officer and the Head Judge of the RoSPA Awards, said: “Recognising excellence in health and safety is essential to ensure we celebrate achievement, but it is also about reinforcing a culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement.
These awards serve as a powerful reminder that employee safety and wellbeing transcends borders and looking after our people, so they can go home safe, healthy and happy every day, also drives sustainable success and resilience.”
